The regular clean, for a car that was detailed in the last few months.

This is the maintenance option. If your car is in reasonable shape and just needs picking up, this is the one. We vacuum it out, wipe the inside down, wash and dry the outside by hand, and leave a sealant on the paint that lasts about six weeks. It takes 1 to 2 hours and we do the whole thing at your place.

This is the one for a car that has got away from you. Everything in the Freshen Up, plus the seats and carpet get shampooed and steam cleaned, compressed air blows the grit out of every vent and crevice, and the paint gets decontaminated properly with tar and iron removal before a snow foam wash. It takes 3 to 5 hours. Pet hair, spilt coffee, years of school run, all fine.

A ceramic coating is a liquid glass layer that bonds to the paint and stays there for years, unlike a wax that washes off in a month or two. Dirt and water sit on top of it instead of soaking in, so the car stays cleaner between washes and is easier to wash. This version is for new cars, where the paint is already perfect and just needs protecting. We prep the paint, give it a light polish, then coat every painted panel, the lights and the plates. Gtechniq, rated for 5 years.

Fix the swirls and dullness first, then lock the finish in.

Same 5 year Gtechniq coating as above, but for a car that is not new. If the paint has swirl marks or has gone flat, coating it as-is would just seal the defects in. So we machine polish it first, which cuts back a fine layer of the clear coat and brings the gloss and depth back, and then we coat it. That is the difference in price: the polish, not the coating.

A car that gets cleaned regularly only ever needs a maintenance clean. Leave it six months and it needs the full $250 reset instead. The Monthly Club locks in a repeat booking at a discounted rate, so the car stays on top of things and you spend less over the year. No lock-in contracts, and you can cancel anytime.

Do you come to me, or do I drop the car off?
We come to you. DetailSplash is a fully mobile service, so we detail your car at your home or workplace anywhere across Melbourne. You don't need to drop anything off or wait around at a shop.
What do you need from me on the day?
Access to power and water at the service location, enough space to work safely around the vehicle, and room for our work van to park directly next to the car. We can't work on busy roads, main streets, or unsafe locations.
How much does mobile car detailing cost?
Pricing is set by vehicle size. The Freshen Up package is $110 for a hatch or sedan, $120 for a small SUV or wagon, and $130 for a large SUV or van. The Deep Clean is $250, $260 and $270 for the same sizes. In severe cases, prices may change upon inspection.
How long does a detail take?
The Freshen Up package takes 1 to 2 hours on site. The Deep Clean takes 3 to 5 hours because it includes a deep shampoo and steam clean of the seats and carpet, plus a full exterior decontamination.
What's the difference between the two packages?
The Freshen Up is maintenance. It suits cars detailed in the last one to three months and covers a full vacuum, wipe down, hand wash and 6 week sealant. The Deep Clean is a reset for neglected vehicles, adding steam cleaning, compressed air detailing, tar and iron removal, snow foam wash and a protective spray wax sealant.
How long does a ceramic coating last?
We use Gtechniq's 5 year coating. It's applied to all painted surfaces, headlights, tail lights and number plates, and gives lasting gloss plus protection against UV, contaminants and everyday wear. New car coatings start at $599, and paint enhancement plus coating starts at $849.
Can you remove every stain and odour?
Not always, and we won't promise otherwise. We use professional products and techniques, but some stains, odours or wear may not be fully removable, so results can't be guaranteed in every case.
Do I need to empty my car first?
Please remove personal belongings from the glove box and centre console. We don't clean inside them unless they've been emptied beforehand.
Are you insured?
Yes. DetailSplash maintains current public liability insurance, and we arrive fully equipped for every job.
Do you detail caravans, fleets or trucks?
Yes. As well as cars we clean caravans, fleet and commercial vehicles, and trucks. If you have a specific vehicle or requirement that isn't listed, get in touch and we'll discuss a custom solution.
